Summer Trip to Italy

I had the fortunate opportunity to visit Rome and Florence this summer. A couple of my friends had their wedding in Florence at the Four Seasons Hotel. The whole fairy-tale event was complete with a famous Italian opera tenor, wedding ceremony on a lawn once owned by the Medici family, and an after party at the family chapel. Epic.

For me it was a great chance to rediscover Italy as I’ve spent much more time vacationing in France and even Spain.

I’m glad to have spent time looking at the historical sites with many other tourists. Next time, however, I would like to just find a place in Tuscany away from tourists and discover a village or two for a couple of weeks. If any of you have suggestions, I would love to hear from you.
