The focus on the long-term picture rather than just
short-term quarterly profits is something that more
executives need. Many of the best executives in Japan
seem to be concerned about long-term trends and
while not ignoring the need for short-term profits,
they are not overly myoptic about it.
I saw this video a while ago and put it on the vodpod videos section of my blog. Can you imagine if CEOs in the U.S. were even half as humble and concerned about their company and employees as Nishimatsu is? Wow, what an example.
